What people ask

Is it free to light a candle?
Yes. Lighting candles and praying for others is completely free. Your candles stay for as long as the website is available.
Can I keep my prayer private?
Yes. You choose whether your candle appears anonymously on the Candle Wall or stays completely private — and private candles can still be shared with people you choose.
Can I edit my prayer after I light the candle?
Yes. Open the candle's details from My Candles and edit the prayer. If the candle is public, we check the new words again before it returns to the Candle Wall.
Does my candle expire?
No. Your candles remain available while Everlit operates.
Does Everlit promise my prayer will be answered?
No. Prayer is a matter of faith. Everlit does not promise an outcome. It gives people a place to find others with similar needs and pray for one another.
